one of the best offroading experience, deviates from the colin mcrae series though.''
the GOOD -
1. excellent visuals- eye catching visuals with one hell of a cockpit racing experience, real dust, water, mud and dirt splashing on the windows and ur wipers working on them, while you cruise fast through malaysian jungles or utah mountains are really breath-taking.
2. excellent vehicle physics, carefully planned locales, realtime car damages, great ai, awesome co-driver commentary for a true rally feel, vehicle handling are great with some of the latest models of 4x4's and buggies.
3. great sound
4. varied locales for different experiences in driving.
5. different types of races like trailblazers, time trials, domination races, circuits, rally, individual racers challenging you
6. a great tribute to colin mcrae
the BAD -
any awesome game do have its drawbacks,
1. no lengthy rally campaigns where you drive for a particular make around the world with real campaigns and workshops.
2. no rain, no snow, no great climatic changes
3. no citroen, no peugeout, no skoda, no ford rally cars or suzuki or any smaller rally cars.
4. no night rallies except a few circuit races.
5. no mountain climbs
6. no rally in USA or UK or AUSTRALIA or JAPAN, only circuit races with limited scenery, where we wil miss the old colin mcrae series where rainy tarmacs in japan, muddy UK or Mountains of USA where present.
7.UTAH the real mountain route offers only 4 races.
8. After playing a while you feel you have seen all locations too soon
but these are points only a hardcore rally racing fan wil feel. but i guess thats what colin mcrae rally used to offer and dirt also did, but dirt 2 is becoming an offroading game now rather than a rally game.anyways full points as it is awesome. a must have.
