I'm a newcomer to the Disgaea series, but I've logged well over 100 hours playing it so far. This is the first game I've found that lets me play it how I want to. If I feel like just leveling up and working on tactics, I can head off into the Item World, or if I feel like watching the story, I can choose the main story missions. This is also a game that will allow you to build your chars to ungodly levels, not too mention the sheer variety of classes, weapons, and items that the game provides you. It has some very original ideas, like the Dark Assemebly and the Dark Court. Ever felt like you were being cheated when politics don't go your way? Well, in this game you can take out your anger on the senators and force them to pass your bill (assuming you've reached a high enough level). All in all, I see myself playing this game for a LONG, LONG time. The only bad things (if you want to call them that) I can say about the game is that it has a HUGE learning curve to actually understand the mechanics of the game. The graphics you normally play with aren't bad, but they're not the best I've seen either in the ps2 generation systems, but the cut scenes are well drawn and provide value to the game.
