This is one of the best RPG game that I have played!!
The story is about a devil price battle to get back his father’s throne, against human world invasion, and against angels in heaven. The story is very interesting and it has multiple endings. All game characters are well designed and each has their unique characteristic. I really love all the game characters.
The game-play is the best part of the game. Each character can use all type of weapon but they can’t master all. Each has their unique attack skills and they can also learn magic. This game has unique feature like “pupil system” which allow a character to gain bonus from his pupil and can learn magic from them. They also can perform “combo attack” more easily.
They are many types of monster in the game and not only you can catch monster in the battlefield but you can also create monster from the dark assembly. There are many classes of occupation for humanoid characters. You can create your own characters, switch their occupation, they can maintain whatever skills that they learned from different occupations. There are a lot of secret occupations for you to unlock as well.
The game also introduced something called “geo panel” in the battlefield. The different colors of geo panel will impose many different bonus or condition on the battlefield, it makes the game more strategic. You can destroy or change the geo panel and if you can achieve high number of “geo change”, you will get more item bonuses at the end of the battle.
The game also have a unique feature called the “item world” where you can go into any items or weapons in order to upgrade their level and move the residents who leave in the items/weapons. There are many different kinds of resident and each carries different bonus to the item/weapon. You can gather them and move them from item to item in order to maximize the bonuses. And each weapon class has their ultimate weapon which can only be obtained from the item God in the level 100 of the item world. All these have made this game very unique and addictive.
The game also has many secret stages to unlock through the dark assembly where you can fight unique enemies, have them to join you after beating them and collect unique items. This game allows player to steal any equipments from the monster or enemies. Many unique items can only be obtained by stealing from the bosses.
The graphic in this game is 2D+3D, the characters and stage background are 2D while the attack & magic effects are all in 3D. This game is very colorful and I really enjoyed the artwork of the designers. The sound and music are great as well especially the vocal of the game characters are excellent. I really have fun in playing this game.
As conclusion, buy this game if you like RPG. This game is as good as “Final Fantasy: Tactics”. This game allows you to play over hundred of hours and the New Game+ allows you to carry forward everything you got and to obtain different endings by completing the game in different ways. “Disgaea: Hour of Darkness” is so amazing and I really love it.
