This game, like the first, totally engaged me with its story, side characters and villains, and, mainly, its fully-realized environment. The environment is beautifully rendered in its outdoor and indoor locations, in its artwork, in its characters' motivations and arcs, and in its music, items, and banter. While Witcher 3's world is wondrous, for example, it's not as fresh and innovative as Dishonored. While it's a wonderfully unique world, one can see that influence of Bioshock and even Bloodbourne in Dishonored's style and approach. The gameplay is also a blast, whether in stealth and assault.
I felt like giving this a 10 for the sheer, breath-taking fun and sense of place it provides. The AI is a little wonky, though, and I began to lose interest in my second playback, even though you get to play a different character with a slightly different storyline (and style, if you wish). I'll come back to this superb game in a few months, I'm sure.
