A game I wasn't to keen on at first but I'm glad I brought it in the end.
Firstly the graphics, are good, it's not to 'real' it reminds me of Starcrafts 2 in-game cinematic's, the dark, bland colours really hit home that this is based in a world that is in turmoil.
The mechanics are good an enjoyable, they are difficult to learn but takes some time to get the most use out of them, a game that does have a learning curve to use them properly otherwise that plan you made will go wrong and if you can't react fast enough, well.. your dead or having to load your last save. The decisions you make in-game effects the game later on, from simple guards to main characters, all will effect it, how it does, I shall leave for you to find out.
But enough of that, what really sold the game is the story, the connect between yourself Corvo, Emily and the Empress, from the beginning it's clear that these three are close but it's the journals, audio books and notes you find that help build and bigger picture and proves a point that text or story reading is important in a game to help build a setting, and it isn't all just visuals, it's the connection between the characters that help and make you the player make the decisions you make in-game and I loved that it made me choose how I wanted to go.
It's been awhile since I've actually cared about some characters and how they end up from the choices. I highly recommend this game if your still thinking about it, at least put it on your wishlist.
