An average movie- based game.

User Rating: 6.3 | Disney/Pixar The Incredibles PC
The Incredibles, hands down, is one of the greatest animated feature films created to date. Only a handful of movies have reached the amount of fame and fortune that The Incredibles has, perhaps surpassed by only the Lion King. When THQ announced the official game, I knew not to expect much from it. I got it as a gift for my liitle cousin, and I decided to try it out myself. To be frank, my prediction was correct. It wasn't all that great. The game is average, at best. The graphics look oudated, perhaps from 2002. The texture detail is lacking, but the environments have been designed well enough. The frame-rate is not great, and sometimes choppy. Even with the best of ATI or nVidia graphics cards, overall, the game seems quite bland. The gameplay is simple, not much to speak about. Moving around is quite cumbersome, and Mr.Incredible's "stylish running" is a disadvantage.
The combat system is quite easy to understand; you've got your basic punching and special attacks for each character. The sound is amazing. All the music is straight from the movie, which is firs class. The movie cutscenes are a nice change. The level design is good, but the execution is not quite what it's cracked up to be. Overall, this game has a good base, but fails to impress in the areas it should.
