This game is awesome, despite it's horrible review scores. It's the alternative of Mario for the PC and it works well.
Story = The game's story is the same as in the movie Toy Story 2. You have to find Woody which has been kidnapped by some guy that is disguised in a chicken and that is a collectionner. Sounds weird, but cool! Though the base story is the same as in the movie, some levels were just imagined by the game's developpers.
Cinematics = The cinematics are taken from the movie and are shown between most of the levels. But they all make sense and go well with the story. The video quality of the cutscenes is pretty good for that time, it's not blurry or compressed.
Gameplay = The gameplay of this game is awesome. The main character controls very well and you'll have to do lots of jumping and puzzle solving, you can also switch to first person view to shoot the bad guys. The puzzles actually make sense and they are so interesting to figure out and aren't boring at all.
Progress = To progress through the game, you'll have to collect PizzaPlanet tokens. Each levels require a higher number of tokens to play so sometimes you'll have to go back in an older level to find one. They can be awarded for example finishing a race, collecting a hundred points, fighting a boss, etc. You don't need all of the tokens to finish the game though.
Special levels = Almost all of the levels of this game are special to me. Climb a building by going through the vents shafts, escalate a immensively big three in a playground to fight a boss, get to the top of a building in construction, fight your worst ennemies in an airplane, go to the toy store and more. The level design of this game is awesome and each one are really fun to play.
Bottom-line(s) = This game is an awesome platformer and if you haven't played it you're really missing something. Despite it being old, it's still as good if not better as today's other platformers. I really recommend playing this game, whether you're a kid or not as the difficulty is quite high. Some levels were really hard to play and it's a truly challenging game.
As I said before, it's an alternative to Mario 64 with about the same graphics but for the PC that uses the same progression interface (stars = tokens). So have fun playing this game, you can probably find it on Ebay.
If you're wondering why it didn't got a 10 out of 10, that's because it didn't played well on older computers. It bugged very often back then and didn't stopped crashing. But any computer made from 2002 up to now will take the game without any bugs. This game even works on Windows Vista. Oh, and also the graphics aren't really good at all by today's standards even if they look refreshing.
