A movie tie in that actually has some effort put into it.

Yes you heard me. A movie tie in that has effort put into it. As brilliant as the movie this game is as fun as most of the movie tie in games out there should be. It follows the same plot as the film having a bit more added in though and it`s obviously more like a video game. That`s the Story Mode and it is great fun and very addictive with its story. You can also replay levels in it when you have completed it. The "other" mode is actually an extremely fun game and it`s called the Mini Adventures Mode. In this mode you can either play as 2 people who have 2 different stories. Buzz Lightyear's story is protecting the world from Emperor Zurg and kind of a continuation of the Toy Box Mode what is in the console and PC versions. Woody's story is actually just like a minigame and in this one he has to round up lots of toys and get them to safety and it's named after the famous "Woody's Round Up". At the beginning of the game there isn't that many missions in both stories in the Mini Adventures Mode but as you progress you unlock more missions and so on. There is even some downloadable ones what you can download from the PlayStation Network. This mode gives the game a lot of impact and overall makes it better. It is really one of its kind in the matter of movie tie in games. But it isn`t without it`s flaws though. Unlike the film the game has horrendous voice acting and they could have done much better with it. But in this games case that is probably the only major flaw while the rest of the game seems as enjoyable as a game can be. I`m giving this game an 8.0 out of 10 because of its very fun atmosphere but could have done better with its voice acting. I have already reviewed the Nintendo DS version. Kids will really love this game so don't regret buying your child this game after seeing the film. In the meantime see you later for my next review which will be on Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep for the PSP.
