User Rating: 8.7 | Aladdin SNES
Disney's Aladdin is movie-based gaming at its best. Folow along in the story of the young street rat Aladdin who finds himself in a mystical adventure with the discovery of a genie who will grant him 3 wishes. Battling against the sultan's evil vizier Jafar, Aladdin must stop him from taking over the palace and ruling the city of Agrabah, Aladdin's beloved home. Journeying alongside witty and humorous characters like Aladdin's right hand monkey Abu, and a magical flying carpet with a mind of its own, Disney's Aladdin is sure to entertain and capture your heart with this heartfelt story of heroism, magic, love, and humor. Help Aladdin stop the evil vizier and save Agrabah as well as steal the heart of the young and beautiful Princess Jasmine.

To play Disney's Aladdin is sure to be a theatrical experience. With acrobatic fighting suiting the young and sly Aladdin, you are sure to have fun in this award deserved game of art. Controls are easy and offer little challenge, yet using them in the strategic manner that is necessary can be a challenge. Using strategy to stop your enemies and overcome countless obstacles to save Agrabah. With a mario bases idea of having to defeat many enemies by jumping on them, Nintendo's presence is definitely felt. The two attacks of jumping on your enemies and throwing apples to stun them can be repetitive but as always, it isn't so easy as it sounds. Offering fun little rewards like capturing flying magical scarabs and having bonus rewards is well...quite rewarding. The game length is short considered to today's standards and whether that's good or bad to you game fans is your own designated opinion but there's enough to go around. The point is, you are sure to have fun and that's all that counts.

Graphics are pretty weak but of course, this was made for a 32 bit system so I believe it's excusable. What is really needed to know are if Disney's Aladdin characters are noticeable and an obvious answer is yes. Considering Agrabah is like a persian city, everything from characters to stages are can easily be associated with that persian feel. Considering this is a mystical adventure beyond the norm, the beyond normal ideals of Aladdin are well seen and are quite fun and entertaining once again from characters to stages.

Sound is a theatrical experience considering just about every musical score from the movie is inputted into the game. Sound effects are repetitive and could have used a little more work but they are suitable and not too annoying. The sound is average for the game, nothing too great but nothing oh so bad and utterly obnoxious either.

Disney's Aladdin is pretty much a win-win game for all gamers and is sure to entertain gamers and fans alike. So take a magical carpet ride and prepare to be thrilled in this excellent adventure title.
