Fun Game
Of course your not invincible but you don't die or have health you have "laugh points" and you become sad when you run out of those and the Cogs take them away from you with their own attacks, some general and some specific to their name but they aren't terribly violent or freaky, nothing to worry about.
The "currency" in Toontown is jellybeans which are used to purchase gags and "cattelog" items and is used to plant flowers. Cattelog items are purchased from a toon's house that allow them to get new furniture and decorations for their house along with new "speed chat" phrases and garden fountains and instruments.
Speed chat is the main method of communication in the game which is a collection of phrases which restricts what you can say but allows you to use it for major functions, like asking for help with toon tasks. There is a easier method of chatting with true friends which requires you to communicate a code out of the game and get permission from a parent; if needed to type what you want. And for what I know, isn't filtered or restricted.
Toon tasks are basically missions that, when completed, give you rewards as laugh point increases, training frames, clothing tickets (nothing bad), teleportation access to each "playground", and other things. Some task chains are in there too for the more important rewards.
Playgrounds are basically hubs for players that are safe zones that are themed for the Disney characters that inhabit them and provide the needed functions as the trolleys with mini-games that give you jellybeans for how well you do in them and are childish. There is also a Toontown HQ where you get your tasks and a fishing hole for fishing and getting jellybean profit.
In conclusion, this game is a safe MMORPG for kids, and adults, if you like playing with your kids, or if your tired of blood and violence in other MMO's
