great game, but it has major difficulty swings. camera is fine, but there is one leveling glitch that could ruin it.
but not without faults. This game really sucks you in, and you will not be able to stop until you finish what you started. They have seperated the story mode into 10 mini stories, each character has their own, which all tie in together at the end and somewhat throughout the story. every story is unlocked from the beggining. One not so good idea about the integrated difficulty is that each characters story has a set difficulty setting, so if you want to play as cloud first, tough luck. The way they did the connection from battle to battle is kind of like chess, which makes you wonder why they integrated a board game with a fighter, although it lets you choose your battles and takes strategy and planning. Without spoilers, after you finish all their story modes, there are quite a bit more levels and story levels left, about 10 hours more depending on your characters level. Story mode is quite easy till you reach the last story segment, I didn't even die once! The last level is close to madness unless you are level 100 and you have MAJOR skill.
This game is all about skill unlike some previous FF games, where your level is what matters. The RPG ish style is great, although you don't see any change of appearance on your character with new eqipment, something they have been doing for close to 15 years! Even after you beat the game, you will still have plenty to do, including: Exhibition mode, colleseum mode, getting icons from past FF games (over 125 of them!), unlocking extra story script through special and hard to get "reports", unlocking bonus characters from FFXI and FFXII, making battle videos, and much more!
One of the coolest aspects of Dissidia is the movie editor. After you fight a battle, you can save the replay and edit the movie in a very complex movie editor. You can take pictures also when ever you want. Then they will appear on your psp home screen under your videos and pictures.
Overall, they story mode is pretty good, and fills you in somewhat on all the FF games, without spoilers, encouraging you to play older installments of the FF series. The only problems I had was difficulty swings, and the leveling cheat. The leveling cheat, is getting from level 1 to level 80 in one battle. It can be great if you want to whip through the game, or just want to brag to your friends. This game is so awesome, in fact...! I'm going to go play it right now! And you should too!
