In my opinion, this game does almost everything right. I was bored one day and looking for games to try and saw the demo for this game on the Xbox live marketplace and loved it. The story I thought was pretty good, as you get drawn into it and stay drawn in til the end. You begin as a Dragon Slayer hunting the last Dragon Knight, a human given the abilities of Dragons and being able to transform into a dragon themselves. The gameplay in my opinion was fantastic. You are able to assign abilities to any of the A B X Y and d-pad buttons freely allowing you some freedom with how your controls for combat are laid out. Your abilities are divided into 5 categories, Priest, Mage, Warrior, Ranger, and Dragon Slayer. Priest abilities are for things like summoning ghosts, undead and demons to aid you in combat, as well as cloaking yourself in shadow. mage is pretty self explanatory as it is magic attacks and supportive abilities like healing. warrior is melee abilities, and ranger is bow. Dragon Slayer is a more unique category with all passive skills, improving abilities you get as a Dragon Slayer, such as reading minds. The great thing about this game is, unlike some RPGs such as Dragon Age, you aren't limited to any specific branch of these abilities. You are free to create your own unique class from these skills. Perhaps the most interesting feature of this game, is that you get the ability to transform into a dragon yourself. giving more freedom of movement, allowing you to reach much higher areas and move about places much quicker, as well as being extremely powerful. Overall I'd say this game is a fantastic RPG although it is not as well known as it deserves to be, as many gamers today are sticking to the elder scrolls, fallout, and mass effect games, Divinity 2: the Dragon Knight Saga, is an amazing RPG that those who play it will remember for a long time as being an amazing game, especially since you can buy it reasonably cheap. (:
