One of the best RPG's out there...
Original Game:
The exceptional:
Graphics - it's not crysis [maybe the lighting style] but it really pulls you in the fairy-tale land :)
Music -the reason that flipped me to buy this game-
Playing as a dragon - really cool [at least for me]
The good:
Quests really are not your basic "get me five plants of those type" - some of them are quite complex;
Story [except the ending];
Sound Effects - burning houses, the wind rustling - shows there was a lot of effort put in it
Some nice puns
Mixed: Voice Acting (there should have been more actors used - and some of them seem to not really -act-
The bad: PhysX ? - it really does not work as intended, lots of glitches in barrels that keep falling [falling noise, shaking etc.] , a few minor glitches.
Thoughts: in dragon form I can't attack "walking" creatures ? - I know that it would kind of have made the game too easy, but still... - and the story ended a bit abruptly and was a bit bewildering.
Expansion:
The exceptional: Graphics, Music - separate soundtracks made for the expansion, Quests are even better - probably the best I've ever seen in an RPG.
The good: Voice Acting got a bit better
Mixed: the pun about Michael Jackson -
The bad:
PhysX - still did not get any better...
Story ending was obviously rushed - at the very end you can side with whomever you want? - though you were in conflict with him from the very beginning? - there was really no right choice at the end [side with a maniac or side with the obvious future backstabber]
No more dragon-form ...
All in all - for me, this game is a true masterpiece, and in my opinion everyone should at least try this game [period]
