A good game, but yet too short.
I personally started with a black Pomeranian male(I have one in real life), and you can play with him, feed him, scold him, take him outside(farther in the game) and clean up after him. There are many things you can interact with including the TV, some which are useless but fairly entertaining nonetheless. After a while of teaching he will learn how to sit, lay down, and his name.
The graphics are pretty good for GBA but some things could've been improved. In game there is a Megaman Battle Network-styled outside background which is mostly blue with patterns, which makes it feel as you are floating and sometimes gives an odd feeling, but nothing big.
Sound could've been better but again, for a GBA game, it was pretty good. There was nothing special about it though.
Now the bad part - Value. I was in the third week(in game) playing and it was Saturday. I just started walking my dog the day before so I now had the ability to buy stuff(one thing a day) from the stores, which was making it more interesting, and the town is bigger then you'd expect it'd be for the type of game. Saturday, I took my dog out, fed him, etc, the regular schedule. 9:00, being bed time, I get into bed and everything fine, then the message came up - "You do not have any more time with your dog, and the adventure ends here", with an ending scene. The heck? I wondered what was going on? Conclusion : TOO SHORT! When I just thought that I was going to be able to get everything and train this dog till he dies, it ends. :(
All in all, this is a good game for kids, or dog/simulator lovers, but it's much too short. If you want to play it, I'd recommend renting first if you really want to try it, or emu users roms, but I wouldn't recommend that. There is good quality in the game but if it was longer, alot longer, it would've been much better.
