I love this game! First of all, it was an incredible update of the classic arcade DK game we all loved. Actually, a better word for it would probably be EPIC. This game was taken and made into an EPIC and kick-ass game. The gameplay is great, especially for 1994. It's essentially DK's gameplay on steroids. Mario can now throw enemies, do gymnastics, build ladders, and so much more!! Nowadays, an experienced gamer could get through this game in a day or two, but 8 years ago, DANG! This thing was HARD! The graphics are simple, but pretty dang good for its time. There's lots of pretty sweet animations for Mario. It's really fun to watch him splat on the ground or do a backflip. The sound gets really annoying, but the music is pretty good. If it weren't for the annoying Princess scream, then sound would prbably get an 8. This game is also a ton of fun. No matter how old this game gets, it's still a blast! So, dudes, check your local pawn shop/Gamestop for this retro classic. If you liked the arcade version, you'll LOCE this one.
