It's a very good game, I just didn't like it.

This is a love it or hate it game. Similar to Mario 64 and Banjo-Kazooie, this game lets you guide Donkey Kong and his simian friends through large 3-D worlds collecting all sorts of stuff. This game, besides Zelda Majora's Mask, is the best looking N64 game, looking like that off a medium-low quality PS2 title. In this game you will collect lots of stuff, then you will trade it in, then fight a boss, repeat, rinse, wash. This is where you will decide if you love or hate DK64. If you can get past all the collecting and repetitave elements, you will find a nice adventure inside. But if you hate the repetitive nature of this game, you'll be better off with Banjo-Tooie. My only advice is rent it first, but I'd say you'd be better off with the two Banjo-Kazooie's or Mario64 if you don't own them yet.
