Donkey Kong Barrel Blast is the absolute racing game for the old school fans of the DKC series

Despite having been exposed to all the negativity regarding this game, it did not take long for me to love it. This game is actually good. In fact, I think that it is better and more innovative and fun than the SEGA all stars racing.

Advantages:
1) This game is loyal to the DKC series. It uses all of the main characters, items, places and really delivers pure nostalgia for all the real Donkey Kong fans. Funky, Diddy, Dixie, Cranky and Candy are among my favorites that appear in this game. Don't forget King K.Rool, Kritter and the rest of our beloved Kremlings.

2) This is a racing game that actually delivers what it promises. Nice cups, different levels of difficulty and some hard challenges when you go visit Candy.

Disadvantages:
1) The graphics are totally fun, but nothing noteworthy. Especially the opening background is just lame, it looks like being drawn by a 4 year old.

2) The controls are fine, you can learn them after a while even though they are a pain, however this game should have some alternative controls as well. The classic controller for instance would be ideal for this game.

3) Lack of wi-fi.
