Twice as difficult as the original, but twice as rewarding also.

User Rating: 9.2 | Super Donkey Kong 2: Dixie & Diddy SNES
I started playing this game with low hopes, since the original Donkey Kong Country was such an instant classic. I was proven almost instantly wrong.

This game incorporates dozens of new elements that make the game that much more diverse and exciting.

Donkey Kong has been kidnapped by King K. Rool and Diddy Kong and his new female counterpart, Candy, are on a mission to find him.

The games levels are completely original from the first - by that, I mean that the levels bear absolutely no resemblance to the originals. This proves to be incredibly rewarding.

New elements of gameplay, including being carried by a parrot or riding on a jumping snake make room for a plethora of new ideas that the developers incorporated to their full extent in this game.

One of the things that makes this game completely different from the first, is it's level of difficulty. I found myself spending as much time on a single level as I did on an entire board in the first classic. After beating DKC2, the first one will blow by with hardly any effort, as I myself found out.

A must-buy for SNES owners (a must-download for Rev owners). It will make a great place for itself in your classics collection.
