With environments spanning almost all you could think of, DKC2 is undoubtedly the best game to hit the SNES
Donkey Kong Country 2 : Diddy's Kong Quest is the sequel to Super Nintendo classic, Donkey Kong Country. In this game, instead of working through the game with Donkey and Diddy, you get to work through with Diddy as your main character, alongside Dixie, who is your main chimp's girlfriend. Donkey Kong has been captured by the ever-so evil King K. Rool, and this time he has decided to pick up a hand cannon to help him upgrade his arsenal.
You must work your way through each different world to reach the top of the island. The island offers you diverse and unique environments such as a pirate ship, a volcano, a theme park and a spooky forest. The detail in each of these environments will take you back, as when I first witnessed the full strength of the SNES engine, I couldn't believe the immense amounts of detail that was put into each stage and character.
Similiarly to the first game, you have your animal buddies to help you out. There are appearances from old friends like Rambi and Squawks (except Squawks is a hell of a lot bigger now), and some new characters are introduced like Clapper the Seal, and Squitter the Spider, who help you throughout the game as you try to collect all of the DK coins and Kremcoins on your quest to finally defeat King K. Rool.
The graphical and audio content of this game is like no other, and going back to this Super Nintendo classic will surely not be a mistake, no matter what time of gamer you are.
