Only a few minor flaws prevent this game from being a total masterpiece

When i first heard about this game, i was excited to the point of wetting myself(not really but you get the point). So i got this game and it didnt disappoint. It's hard and rewarding, beautiful to look at, and a joy to play

Story: This story in this game brings a new feel to the series. It also brings in some comedy (best part of the game was punching the little tikis to death) but it didnt seem like they put a ton of effort into it. Tikis steal your bananas and you have to go get them back. Its not as exciting as King K. Rool, but it gets the job done 7.5/10

Graphics: the graphics in this game are a pleasure to look at. There are a lot of different environments and all of them are colorful and good-looking. Donkey-Kong's animations also look very good. 9.5/10

Gameplay: The gameplay in this game is great. The levels never feel repetitive, the bosses are fun, and the game is very challenging. My only gripe is that the controls dont feel quite as smooth as they could have been. This isnt a big complaint though and is easily ignored 9.5/10

Music: This game has some catchy music. The songs go with the levels they are placed in very well. And i have a lot of these songs on my ipod haha 10/10

Length: If you're just trying to beat the main game, that can be done in 10-12 hours. If you try to get everything, then you'll be laying this one for 40+

Overall: This game is fun a challenging, with great graphics and an awesome soundtrack. If a little more effort would have went into the story, this game would have been pretty close to a 10
