DK is back in this well done remake of a Super Nintendo classic.

This game is just as good as the original despite the few things that had to get cut back. Some noticeable differences from the original are that the graphics are obviously not as good. Some of the music has been cut down too.This review isn't about the Super Nintendo version so back to the GBC. This is one of the better games graphically for GBC. The nice jungle environments and character animations are as good as they can be. Although there is some major frame rate issues when there are too many things on the screen at once. This makes the game slow down a lot and the music also gets slower. Gameplay is pretty straight forward. Go through each level and make it to the end. You can also find bonus barrels in each level. These take you into fun and sometimes challenging mini games. On some levels you will find animal friends that will aid you. Also some of the later levels can get really frustrating. If you are looking for an excellent Game Boy Color game pick this one up! However if you want to see Donkey Kong at his best pick up a copy of the Game Boy Advance or original version.
