While not your best buy, DK Jungle beat packs a nice, solid Donkey Kong punch
User Rating: 7.3 | Donkey Kong Jungle Beat GC
Donkey Konga first introduced the new innovative way to play videogames. Through drumming. Donkey Kong Jungle Beat is a very very very unique game and is probably the most unique game to date. It's very creative with amazing graphics and nice gameplay and innovative and imaginary creatures Gameplay: This is definitely not the best gameplay to date, but it works well with the drum controllers and are actually almost perfect with it. Although the whole game gets repetitive because you play the game with drums the whole time, it's still nice and creative. Graphics: The best thing this game has to offer. The bump-mapping, texturing, pixel filtration, and great colors bring this game to life. It has its little bits where you see polygonal blockage and unrealistic footage, but if you compare Xbox with GCN, there is little difference to the graphics. It's awesome. Sound: It's nice. It's solid. It's unrealistic. But who cares? It works well with the game and doesn't spoil the gameplay or the graphics. Value: Honestly, this is not your best buy. It's not worth your money either. The game itself is good but horribly repetitive and it basically worth only your rental. Overall: This is not the best game, it takes a beating on its value, but it's good overall. If you don't want to spend 40 dollars on a game that will make you yawn over the first 10 levels, then just rent this game. But for the first levels, it's a very nice game and deserve an at least good rating.
