A good game but poor port.

This is a pretty good game originally called Jumpman but Shigeru Miyamoto renamed it Donkey Kong, people thought with a name like that it would never catch on, they were wrong...
Donkey Kong has you as Mario try to rescue his girlfriend from the gorilla who sends barrels down the platform and you have to jump over them or get killed...

The game is great but the PC port from Atarisoft is not very good, the gameplay is great, but the graphics could be better. Kong is not very well drawn but he does look creepy in CGA color...Mario looks weird too.
The sound is not very good either, the theme tune is poorly composed for the beeper, it sounds like the theme is played in a minor note,it sounds hideous, and you don't hear any music while mario is jumping around unlike the original! In summary, good game but bad port.
