Donkey Kong is simply an arcade classic that's still fun to play today.

User Rating: 8 | Donkey Kong NES
Donkey Kong is regarded as an arcade classic and one of Nintendo's Best games ever created. It was made by Nintendo in 1981 for the arcades. It became so well-known to evryone, they prted it over to several home game consoles. Like the Atari 2600, Atari 7800, ColecoVision, just to name a few. He even had his own breakfast cereal and Saturday morning cartoon. Some people don't even know that Donkey Kong just doeest give us the big ape, DK, but this is the world debut of Mario (originally named Jumpman).

BACK OF THE ATARI 7800 CARTRIGE:

You are Mario, the fearless carpenter (He later then became a plumber), and that big gorilla Donkey Kong has run off with your girlfriend. It's up to you to struggle up those ladders and balance on those beams to rescue your lady fair. She's held captive at the very top. But Donkey Kong isn't ready to give her up so easily. He's tossing barrels and fireballs at you at every turn. It's up to you to outmaneuver that wily ape. Good luck, your lady awaits!

The gameplay of Donkey kong is very good and very simple. You use one button, and move the D-pad left and right. Donkey Kong still remains one of my favorite arcade games ever. But for some reason, people just aren't impressed of the Wii Virtual Console Version. I have the 2600, 7800, NES, and Wii version and all are pretty good. The NES version is still the best in my opinion.
