Entertaining budget puzzle game based on an old freeware game.

This is a simple puzzle game where you have a set number of Tetris shaped pieces and you have to fit them into a certain shape.

The pieces do not rotate and simply have to be placed as you see them.

There's not time limit to solve the puzzles.

There are 12 levels with a series of puzzles and as you advance you unlock more levels.

While I haven't finished the game yet, it appears there are 347 puzzles to solve.

The game's music is minimal but tolerable. There is an option to disable the music.

The game keeps track of stats. You can see how many puzzles you've solved, how many solutions you've obtained (there appear to be 660), how many games you've played and how much time you've spent on the game.

You can adjust the background - as you unlock levels you get different backgrounds.

The artwork is very low key, childlike but it works.

The game currently costs $1.99 and for that price you certainly get your money's worth.

The game idea is not new however and has been around for some time.

In 1997 Russell Sasamori released a similar freeware game called Snug. In that game the pieces rotated and you just had one randomly generated level at a time. The game is still out there on the internet and it still runs on today's operating systems.

I have no idea if Mr. Sasamori invented the idea for the game, I doubt it, but his version is still fun and it's free. However, for two bucks for a beefed up version you can play on your PS3 and PSP, you'd have to be one cheap dude to pass this up if you like puzzle games.
