Doom was the first PC game i ever owned . I can remember being scared playing with the lights off. compared to today's Shooters the graphics are obviously outdated however ... go back to ninety four , the technology back then. This game was just plain fun , and you could customize it anyway you wanted. Change sounds ect. Just think ... people are still playing it today. The Game works great right out of the box.You can set all your keys , change your characters name , play with visual settings. The levels are large with lots of dark corners to explore . Power-ups are available throughout the level , you have to search. You can save your game . You can choose from 4 difficulty settings which i loved because im not a very good shot.Once i finished the game i tried it on a harder setting and the experience was slightly different ( more enemies , less ammo health power-ups).The weapons are your standard selection of pistols , shotguns , machine Guns , and some science fiction Weapons like the BFG.Whats a BFG you ask , well think Big F#$%ing Gun. you shoot this thing ...you better run FAST it destroys everything in the blast radius.Whats more fun then shooting aliens in the face with a shotgun. Eventually it gets old so thank god for doom II however its a great blast from the past.if you were a young adult in the 90s then you've heard of doom.If you can find it , get it This ones a certified Classic . Don't believe me ... go look it up.
