The classic doom... a role model for fps shooters to awe at.
Gameplay 10/10
The game play is awesome with or without friends playing with you but that was a problem back in 93' where the online play was very hard to get working and actually working well, anyway the gameplay is amazing with secret's hidden in plain view, dark corridors if you have the gamma adjusted right and suprises awaiting you at every corner.
Sound 10/10
Doom's sounds are amazing along with the soundtrack that everyone knows! E1M1 Hanger is the most known song by far and when its played people know its Doom.
Graphics 10/10
Graphics were top notch for its time and that's why im giving it a 10/10, sure they arn't much now but they sure were then and still look fine in my opinion. If your a person who absolutely needs amazing graphics there is a mod to make doom 3d ish ... Jdoom.
Controls 9/10
The control is right.. if your using Zdoom.. that being said its difficult having the auto-aim doing everything for you when you can't look up and that's the major blow to the game...
Overall 10/10
Doom is a must have if you havn't played it (Doubt it) or don't own a copy and want to get your hands on it! You may need a few extra programs downloaded to enhance your gameplay and excitement factor but they are fairly easy to find.
Difficulty 10/10
The game has options to choose what difficulty you want to play at, Im to young to die being the easiest, Hey, not to rough, Hurt me plenty, Ultra-violence and the insane Nightmare! Nightmare is ridiculous as monster's respawn and shotgun guys can nearly 1 hit you... it's a challenge for even the best of players. Sorry I forgot to add this so that's why its underneath Overall.
