My favourite port of Doom!

PlayStation Doom is great. This is because it takes virtually all of Ultimate Doom and Doom 2 on 1 disc. Plus, PS exclusive levels are thrown in, excellent new sound effects and music are included and there are more realistic lighting effects too. Wow!
Doom's simple, yet amazing gameplay makes you want to play it over and over. This is definitely the greatest console port of Doom ever. The music sounds so much better than PC counterpart. The original music, on some stages sounded pretty ridiculous, but the PS Doom music is way more eerie, much more scary and gives the levels the atmosphere they needed in the first place.
There are over 55 levels and once you've 'completed' Ultimate Doom, Doom 2 follows immediately. It's just 1 big game instead of 2 seperate one's. Heck, you can play Ultimate Doom or Doom 2 seperately if you want to!
So far, so good...but what stops this from beating the PC versions is that the multiplayer requires you to link 2 PlayStations in order to play. So I haven't played PS Doom multiplay yet! Plus I don't think it works multiplayer with a PS2 (I only have a PS2). Also, it has frame rate issues on the big levels. Another annoying thing is the password system. Most people don't mind, but you can't save this at anytime or even save it at all, unlike the PC versions.
But if you take away those 3 down points then PS Doom is pretty amazing stuff...all Doom fans should own it.
