Doom 3 totally took my by surprise. I hadn't been anticipating this release, but knowing how good ID games are, I picked it up counting on a good game and I got more than I was bargaining for. You will be surprised by the looks and the sound of this game. By far what makes this game scary, like a good scary movie, is not the graphics or the gore, its the sound. Its the laughter in the background, the children's voices, the sound of power draining, the whispering that raises the hairs on your neck. All I can say is you must play this game in High Definition with your Surround Sound and bass turned up and with the LIGHTS OUT! I have never played a game that made me jump and be so scared to come out of a corner so much as this one.
