Doom 3 is a great game. It provides new generation gamers with a sense of old school classic gameplay mixed with advanced and superb graphics. This game may not be on par with games such as Far Cry or Unreal Tournament, but who cares, the gameplay is so basic and the graphics are ridiculously incredible that it is worth the money and time. I would also recommend that you pick up the limited collectors edition because Ultimate Doom and Doom 2 are great pickup and play games. It brings you back to the days when 486's and 14.4k modems were the best and only way to play coop.
