This is an incredible game that will appeal to both long time fans of the series and to new-comers. Doom 3 is awesome!
Doom 3 is the long awaited sequel to what is arguably the greatest game franchise in history: Doom. Since its been Millenia since the previous game, Doom 3 has to live up to today's standards with 3-D graphics, Surround Sound Stereo among other things. The Gameplay sticks pretty closely to the Original and also throws in sum new features taken from other FPS games. You can Sprint like in the original but now you can jump. Its basically an old fashioned Run-and-Gun game. It throws a whole crap-load of enemies at you (which im happy to say are the original enemies in beautiful 3-D glory) and makes you hope u can gun them down in time before they tear you a new one. Then there's the old No-ducktape-on-mars problem. You cant use ure flashlight and gun at the same time. This is a minor problem however as there are not many situations that require the use of both a gun and a flash light but the few times that do may cause problems. Overall the gameplay is solid.
Graphics
This is pretty much a No-brainer. The graphics in Doom 3 are Amazing. Hardly any other Xbox game has graphics that can match Doom 3. The Enemy animations look realistic which do a great job in showing off the Lighting effects.
Sound
The sounds in Doom 3 do a great job at creeping the hell out of you. The environment feels like it's alive and at any moment can just kill you any minute. The sound would have gotten a perfect 10 if it hadnt been for the cheap sounding weapons they give you. The hand gun sounds like a small fire cracker, The Machine gun doesnt really sound too powerfull and the biggest dissappointment was the plasma gun which i really think that the original sound it made in the old Doom would have been way more suitable.
Value
No one can go wrong with Doom 3. The game is long enough to keep you busy killing demons for a good while, approx. 15 hours give-or-take. It comes packaged with the classic Doom games, Ultimate Doom and Doom 2, which themselves can be played with 4-player co-op or deathmatch. You also get the G4 Tv special "ICONS: History of Doom." along with interviews and concept arts. Fans of the series should be very happy with this one.

I coudnt help but love this game. From sneaking through tight claustraphobic corridors to Running through the burning pits of hell (and killing demons in between) Doom 3 is a great game and you just Can't go wrong with it.
