Somewhat eerie atmosphere, but it doesnt help the game from having a overused FPS formula. Worth a look, nothing more
On its own merits, the game is stunning and a joy to play. That is until the long levels begin to bog you down and you slowly loose interest in the repetitive walk shot walk routine you soon become locked into. I’ll admit the game had some eerie moments that made me ask myself what the hell was happening, but that was the highlight of the experience, and frankly, those moments were few and far in-between. If it was not for the atmosphere of the one player story, then this game would be a simple minded FPS with no layers. It doesn’t have the intense battles of Halo 2, which is a downfall in my books.
As I said before, the game can keep the player on their toes, and some moments can make you jump, but they are rare. Its worth a look, but not really a must buy. Probably just leave this game for renting on one of those long rainy days.
