Doom 3 was a game that I have always wanted. I consider the Doom series the forerunner to Halo, and have always like it a lot. So I had to get Doom for xbox. The game looks fantastic, which I have heard, but it plays even better. I never liked how your character goes unamed, and not voiced, as where in halo, master chief is the hero, and you know about him, and everything. But that is the only downside. The game begins by building up a lot of suspense, and then when you first meet the demons, it is terrifying! This is the scariest game I have ever played (at 2 in the morning with lights off on 32in TV). It is soooo satisfying pumping shotgun rounds into the zombies, or getting a chainsaw an massacring those 4 legged beasts. The bosses are really tough, but it is worth it to get through. I cant wait to get the expansion to this game. Everything works. The complex is dark, with weird machinery going, perfect scene for a Doom game. The sound is excellent, just like it always in in Doom games. The graphics are 1st rate, and of course gameplay is fantastic. Gamespot says it is old school, but I dont really get that. I love taking out the pistol and pumping round after round into the zombies face! Multiplayer is fun, not majestic or amazing though. Not like Halo. Still this game is a must have for all xbox 360 owners 17+ along with Halo, Halo 2, and Half-Life 2!
