Doom 3 is mostly about a space marine that lands on mars, and you have to sign in get your stuff to your room , just the basic everyday stuff. Then once you start getting your first attacks all of the sudden all heck breaks loose and everything goes wrong. It's just insane!! The first level allows you to walk around the base and talk to people and learn things about the base. Then after that time for you to pick up a gun and start killing things. Now for the positive things about the game. One of the things I like about the game, is the graphics, they are pretty impressive. All of the environments and characters look really good. The cut scenes also look good. But the most awesome thing about the graphics is the light effects. they are so real, and happen at just the most freakish time to scare your pants off. The game also has a great variety of weapons, tons to choose from, all the way from a pistol to BFG. You will enjoy using the weapons they are really cool and come in handy. But the controls are also good, pretty well responsive when you get use to them. The sound is really important in this game and is grade A stuff. The enemies are the true highlights of the game. Because the enemies are all different all shapes and sizes and some very freaky looking. From zombies all the way up to the biggest baddest boss of them all . The game play is really good also. I have heard a lot of people say that the games play was hard and they would get stuck alot in it, but I did not have any problems with it. The action is real intense which makes it amazing. Now for a few bad things about the game. In the game you get a PDA computer, you carry this thing the whole game with you. You actually have to find PDA downloads and different disk to use to axcess certain doors that you have to open. Finding the downloads and disk are not that hard, but you can also read emails and listen to video logs to understand more of the story and get more info. But all the emails are useless waste of time. Some of the video logs are kind of cool but not a have to thing, because it takes you out of the action. Another thing I didn't like much about the game, some of the enemies are little too weak and too easy to kill. some that look rough are actually easy to kill, but there are still some that will kick your butt. You also have a flash light with you, which is super useful in the game, but you can't hold the light and a gun at the same time. which means you have to switch from your light to your gun in order to shoot something in the dark, it takes some time to get use too. But of course you can always beat it with your light if its not to huge. No, your light want break. Overall if you are looking for a grat game with amazing experience and great graphics and good game play then this is one you will have to try. Of course if you are a DOOM fan, and you have not played this game yet, or if you are like me and this is the first DOOM game that you have played you will definetly enjoy it. MARINES OUT
