A modern take on an old genre.

An Rpg of Doom. Can you imagine? I certainly could not, I actually guessed John Carmack must've found some Amateurish Fanmade Game, and convinced someone to publish it. Oh boy, was I wrong, this game is a fine piece of software on MANY levels, and does everything a Mobile game should do , right.

This game is a First Person Dungeon Crawler RPG, in which you start out in a monster ridden facility, and must work your exit out. To aid you, you have a pistol, and axe, a shotgun, the rocket launcher, the BFG amongst others. All of them consume bullets(But the axe), like the FPS games, so you have to be able to tell which monsters are weak to what gun, in order to spend your ammo wisely. Along the way, you'll find credits, currency that you can use to enhance your stats, or buy ammo, armor or items.
Like most Rpgs, you level up by killing monsters, and each time you do, not only are your stats slightly increased, but you get healed completely, so if you know how much experience points you have, you can plan some pseudo-suicide attacks.
Like most FP RPGs, it's all turn based, everytime you move, attack, or use an item , you spend a turn. While it might sound slow and boring, it actually isn't, being very fluid and smooth.

The sprites are big and nice, sporting some, although limited, animation. The music and sound effects are fitting for a game of this type, and for a mobile game, so don't expect major symphonies.

Well, what else can I say? If you can find it, do so, as the game can be played and take breaks anytime you want, thanks to it's save anywhere feature. It's also quite long, reaching 8 hours, so you will have a very good game, for a long, looong time. Basically, but it, you won't regret it. However, if you can, get Orcs and Elves 1(I haven't finished 2, so I can't recommend it, although the way things look, it's as good as the first), as it runs on the same engine, but it's a better game overall.
