Dr. Mario version 2.0!
Years later, 2008, I began buying old school NES games and then I ran into the decision of buying Dr. Mario. Should I or should I not? Then I decided to buy the game at a Flea Market for $2. I went home and began to play Dr. mario for the first time ever. The first thing that caught my attention was the music. It was hip, hype, and catchy. When I began playing the game it took me a while to figure out how to play it. After a couple of hours I was hooked. Today, I even state now Dr. Mario > Tetris. My sister gets mad when I say this cause she's a Tetris fan.
When they announced that Dr. Mario was coming to the Wii on WiiWare, I was hyped. An updated Dr. Mario with the same game play but with a new game play feature, better graphics and ONLINE PLAY!!! What more could you ask for? Awesome! So the game arrives and I buy it and up till today I still think it's great.
The game is awesome. Dr. Mario RX Online even allows your Mii's to be part of the game too. I just love seeing myself dressed up as a doctor. :P The online feature is a good add on but it could've been better done in my view. Online never lags when you play against someone across the world which is a good thing. But the cons of the online is this: Instead of logging in online and waiting for Nintendo WiFi to find you an opponent, they should've had an online lobby room where you can choose who you want to challenge. When the Nintendo WiFi selects your opponent it's very unfair to play someone who is 20 times better than you. Shoot, even the Japanese are 50 times better than us here. Watch out for them!!! They're EXTREMELY GOOD!!
Overall, the game is great. Online, offline, the game offers very good replay value. For $10 off the Virtual Console store, it's a good price for a awesome game.
