It has been nearly 15 plus years since I first picked up and played Dr. Mario on the NES. When we all heard in would show up on the Wiiware we didn't really know what was gonna happen. We were hoping for at least some improvement while keeping with what we all liked in the first place. We got one of the most amusing game modes I have ever played to date in a puzzle game. This mode Virus buster gives you the standard mode with a wiimote interface. What's more to boot is you can go multiplayer with this. Not really sure this was needed but when you play it with another person you really see why it's the little things that make life worth living (okay I realize that its a game but still). The standard 1 player mode is here as is the versus mode. The computer is just as cheap as can be on normal or above but hell if everything was easy it wouldn't be a challenge. Flash allows you to go at it with the computer to clear up the flashing viruses before each other. The only aggravation here is there is no 4 player mode like in the N64 version. Virus buster has no head to head mode either which I think it should have. Despite this the game is as good as it will get. I'm not sure whether they could possibly make any more improvements to this game. However if they do then I will see if it can top this.
