Mario. Part time plumber, vigilante, racer, brawler and a doctor. It seems whatever he touches turns to gold.

Well almost anything. I wasn't too hip on the game where Mario raced through time meeting famous people. That game was somewhat educational but choppy. Well enough about that game. I'm here to discuss Dr. Mario.

Somewhat similar to tetris in the design. Blocks fall but they are only two segments and there are only 3 colors. You need to line up four of the same color in a row (one being a virus in order to kill it) in order to make them disappear.

There were 20 levels to play through and the difficulty bumped up adding more viruses to each new level. Thats really how simple it was, but fun.

The fun could also be increased by playing vs. mode. This allowed two people to face off and attempt to drive the other out by combining combos and dropping a lot of segments on your opponent.

Dr. Mario was a fun game, but it was a bit repetitive and lacking in a lot of depth.
