This game was first introduced to me by a friend and was proven to be a truly great game- one of the few I actually finished on the Genesis- and as I've discovered recently one of the many Genesis games that have great multiplayer modes. It's a fun game sort of like Tetris inasmuch as blocks, or rather beans in this case, drop down from the top of the screen and you try to eliminate all of beans on your side. They have added a competitive mode to this by making it so that when you eliminate a group of beans, a certain number of black beans fall on the competitor's screen. When the screen is full in the middle the game is over. In Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine the player gets unlimited continues with which they can play from where they just lost as many times as they need in order to win. This is one game which I always enjoyed, especially when playing with my brothers. I was the absolute master of this game at one point. I could crush anyone who opposed me and even the hardest difficulty against the CPU. Now, I just play it casually every once in a while. It truly is a great game and it will remain that way in my mind as one of the few puzzle games I actually enjoyed.
