If you enjoy casual, satisfying RPGs, you will dig it.
Well I enjoyed the first, I found the combat became very dull. Fights were fairly repetitive and required too much player input for very simple, unsatisfying actions.
The second fixes that. Combat is fast, fluid and satisfying. Abilities are fun and unique. Strategy is potent with enough depth to avoid being dull.
The dialogue is also amazing and fun. It's SO much more interesting and engrossing to actually hear your characters voice when you make a choice.
The story is very solid, with enough options to keep you going through multiple play-throughs.
Quests are very fun and interesting for the most part.
My biggest qualms with the game:
*Overuse of maps. They use the SAME exact maps for sometimes up to 3-4 quests.
*The whole game takes place in 1 area mostly. Lacks diversity.
*Per usual, there is release date DLC, which personally I find repulsive. Especially since they made the only way to respec your character in one of the DLCs. They did make it less obtrusive this time around however.
Overall, a great game.
