Not since Baldur's Gate has a game delivered such a satisfying RPG experience.
1) "Combat is simple and unsatisfying, all you do is click to attack and heal"
False, the only way the combat is that simple is if you are playing it in real time and on Easy mode. Try that in Nightmare (or even Hard) and you will get you ass handed to you, and you wont make it past the intro. The game is meant to be played with a lot of pausing, allowing you to set up your party tactics and positioning.
2) "The graphics suck"
False, what game are you playing? The graphics are beautiful if you have a good PC that can handle it. (I apologize to X-Box 360 owners who do have a legitimate complaint. But even so, they are still decent)
3) "Too much talk and dialog options...Boring"
If you see anybody say that, please disregard the rest of their review as their opinion is not wrong, but misplaced. They are playing the wrong game. The game is supposed to be heavy on dialog, if you can't handle that, then this game is not for you. It's the equivalent of saying that the Lord of the Rings movies were bad because all that magic stuff made it seem unrealistic.
4) Please do not compare this game to WoW or Oblivion.
While I do play and enjoy WoW, its an entirely different game where you interact with real people and NPC dialog is just there to push you from quest to quest. Do you care what the guy with the yellow exclamation mark over his head has to say? No, you just want to know what he wants you to do so you can lvl up and get your rough items to own other players. And Oblivion is more like a hack and slash version of a FPS, rather than an immersing RPG. There are no real consequences for your actions and there are no moments where you have to walk away from a boss battle and ask yourself "How the hell am I supposed to beat this"
In closing, if you enjoyed playing games like Baldur's Gate and the original Fallout series, then I highly recommend this game. You wont be disappointed.
