My first played game from Bioware and one of the best in my computer desk drawer. Read on.
The tactical combat of the game is quite good, as being able to pause and plan each move can help increase your chances of victory in a losing battle. With this system, the game is a lot more fun as you could then be capable of beating up a big foe easily.
The graphics are pretty impressive, even when the setting is on low. It is an artistic game, from the many buildings of the capital city to the forests and the many caverns, Dragon Age is just a great game to look at.
The music and sound effects are brilliant, and they really set the mood for any area that is entered in the game. I would not like to play this game at night, because of the audio, this game can become very dark and evil at times.
The story of Dragon Age is diverse, as pretty much every quest given can have multiple endings. Meaning that you could be good or evil. While the fate of those in quests can be decided by you, these decisions also affect your companion's reactions to you, so be careful.
While I did swear during gameplay a couple of times, Dragon Age is just an amazing game, as everything from the tactical combat to the graphics to the audio and story are simply brilliant. So I would recommend this game to anyone with a sense of adventure, because it really hits the spot.
P.S Do not believe the other bad reviews saying this game has a generic environment or cliche storyline, because it doesn't. A game where you can decide the biggest of choices I have ever experienced is not a cliched storyline, and the fantasy world in an elaborate, deep and rich one, and it would be insulting to Bioware to say that their carefully made world is a generic one, because it really is not.
