A likable game... eventually

Starting out was a bit frustrating for me with this game. I like challenges and try to play games at the higher difficulty levels but with this game came a certain frustration with the higher difficulty levels. Another dislike was the menu system, even though you could change the hold or click option for the game play pause, it was frustrating and a little clumsy.

The story was pretty solid and your mission of gathering forces was pretty immersive. Graphics were quite good and some of the battles were very fun to do. I did wish for a little more dragon combat but what was there was very cool. Your companions where nicely put together and I liked the fact that they didn't push tedious personal stories on you ad left it very open to your personal taste as to whether or not you wanted to find more out about a character. Many RPG's fall prey to this flaw in my opinion.

Overall it was a very solid game and even though my rating is lower than the average, I believe this game was as a 7 states: Good not Great.
