Legendary developer Bioware have a new game released - Dragon Age: Origins.
The Grey Wardens stand against these devilish forces and protect the people from destruction. Will Ferelden have any hope of survival?
Bioware have created a great story and it really is a story focusing on good and evil, with the player having an influence in shifting the balance in their own favour. Even after completing the story there are still things to do and find, not to mention the expansions.
You have a choice of whether to play as an Elf, Human or Dwarf and these 'origins' have a couple hours of unique gameplay through out the game. All the character classes have a constant crossover point, which leads them into becoming a member of the Grey Wardens.
Quests can play out in various ways and they do have ramifications on the world. While many RPG games put a morale compass on the proceedings, there is nothing like this game! Players are sometimes left to their own paths and decisions which makes the whole experience much more appealing, after all, in reality we are not presented with a 'good' or 'bad' decision to make.
A lot of the time in this game is spent fighting which is controlled by a sophisticated system of rules which you are never directly involved.
The graphics are detailed but could have been better, and the animations are impressive.
