The best storytelling I have ever seen in a game, and a great combat/party management system. Great game.
Good:
- Extremely good storytelling. All of the characters have a very unique personality and based on how much they like you, they respond differently to you. All of the decisions that you make in the game affect something later in the game and affect how your partners view you. The game doesn't just simply have your party members there for assistance in battle, but you can also talk to them and learn about each of their very interesting backstories. The game also has some rediculous plot twists and forces you to make some very tough decisions.
- Interesting battles. Great boss fights and some great fights throughout the game. Tons of unique enemies as well.
- Team managment is very good. You can give them all different weapons, armor, change their abilities/spells, and even tell them a specific aggression level that you want them to have.You can control any of the 4 people in your party too, not just your character (there are more than 4, but you may only have 4 at a time, except in a few select fights).
Bad:
- Graphics are.....meh
- Some areas can get boring, but always seem to get interesting after a while.
- Long dialogue. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, I actually enjoy reading most of what people have to say in this game, but it can be dull sometimes.
All together a very good game. I will be purchasing Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition on October 22nd.
