A medieval tale with modern twists make this game maybe the most exiting RPG in a dacade or more.
Bioware is not a company I've had any experience with before Mass Effect, and this type of RPG is more focused on the historical element, rather than an action adventure, but it has completely blown my mind. Never did I imagine that something so Medieval, could have such a compelling element to a former Final Fantasy fan.
The story is based on an otherworldly medieval lore, with a twist of modern characteristics and humor, and unlike many RPG adventures, the characters are very believable, and the voice acting is sublime. It seems that the story has a great potential for evolving into something as grand as The Lord of The Rings, or very much like it. This means that it could very well evolve into a long series, and considering how much fun I've had playing this game, that might not be such a bad idea.
And now for the game play. As it has been a long time since i was occupied with RPG's, and spent most of m time with action games, I still am a bit caught in the normal or easy difficulty, but for those with more experience with this genre, the adaptation to the combat system should come quite easy. By pausing the game with the space bar, you can assign different tasks to your party member, so you don't have to worry about quick thinking and sharp reflexes.
The best part about any of Bioware's games is the multiple options throughout the game. Multiple ways to respond to those you interact with, and different ways to complete the game, like Mass Effect's Paragon and Renegade choices, this very element makes you feel like the true master of the story. It means less limitations and much more fun.
This game is an instant classic, and with the various DLC content available, this game will keep you more than entertained for the next year or so.
Simply put, one of the best RPG's EVER!!!
