Dragon Age restored EA's credibility for this guy (Thanks BioWare)

Quite immersive , graphics well-executed, quest lines fairly well realized- In its' vanilla clothing. Played it on hard first time through (go big or stay home, right?), found some content challenging, but not 'I threw my hands in the air and gave up' difficult. Liked it a lot, which seemed kind of strange to this hardcore Need4Speeder (who had occasional urges to pick up a rifle and snipe some bad guyz). Also appreciated the fact that BioWare had downloadable content available, which prompted me to buy the Ultimate Edition - Download and install process was quick and painless.
Then I tapped into the modding community, changed vanilla to chocolate-chip cookie dough, and suddenly it's a whole new game. Myriad new possibilities are added by a lot of very talented modders, from basic model/texture stuff to well thought out quest lines, and everything in between. It's a shame (a lot of)game producers completely ignore this untapped resource.
Guess I'm just saying "Try it, you'll probably like it". While it may not appeal to every PC gamer on the planet, you'll never know unless you give it a try.
