As good as it could've been at the time, but still bad

DBGT Final Bout is a sorry excuse for a fighting game and fails miserably compared to the Budokai franchise of today. You do have to take into consideration that this game came out in 1997 and the graphics weren't incredible at the time. The controls to Final Bout are poorly constructed, making it damn near impossible to execute any special moves. The graphics are bad, even for its time (SS4 Goku's tail looks like a bunch of sausage links), and the backgrounds are uninspired pieces of crap. The voice-over is just plain horrid, and was unchanged when re-released back in 2004, making you laugh for the first couple times around. The melee attacks are slow and the characters move just as they look, in a blocky mess. Overall, Final Bout will help complete any collection but will collect dust from underuse.
