Raging Blast is alright...

Alright lets get started...

Story: The way you play the story mode is you simply just select which saga you wanna play in and select a battle, the story is obviously from the anime just like the other DragonBall games. Its really entertaining if your not familiar with the anime but if you know the anime by heart then you wont really enjoy it as much because you obviously know which battle is which. Its a really lazy way to just have us select the battles and then keep on doing it after the end of each fight, it gets really boring. The one thing they did do right though is they let us choose which saga we want to play first but in every saga theres certain levels locked and in order to unlock them you have to do beat some battles within the saga. The star system was really terrible, I was frustrated to find out that to unlock some battles I had to have a certain amount of stars. It was a really stupid thing to do.

Gameplay: The gameplay is similar to the Tenkaichi series, it gets really repetitive though it seems like every character functions the same. But the controls are familiar so I really didnt mind I actually enjoyed it because I knew what to press and what not to press. The camera is really annoying sometimes because it goes crazy sometimes while your battling it out with your enemy, its not hard to control but it sometimes has a mind of its own which is really weird and annoying.

Graphics: The graphics in this game are really nice, better than the graphics in Raging Blast 2 in my opinion. It looks like your actually watching the anime but your really playing. They look so nice and shiny the characters look well detailed and like I said it looks like they just jumped out the anime! The areas in which you fight are similar to past maps, but here there more detailed and they are more open.

Multiplayer: The online within this game is like any other fighting you search for a match and you get hooked up with another fighter but theres options in which you can choose who to fight with. The thing I liked was that you can use your custom skills you put into your character so you have them more boosted and strong. Its an okay mode but it has a lot of players constantly spamming the same moves over and over again but thats the game's mechanics fault.

So all in all its a good fighting game, it has many bonus modes with more things to do. It has a customization mode where you can implement skills onto any fighter you want, it has a really weird way to do it though its like playing tetris. The World Tournament is a mode a DBZ game cant leave out and luckily it wasnt left out. So yeah, what I didnt like was the star system I thought that was really stupid and the camera it really gets annoying sometimes, the controls arent really a problem to me but they do get repetitive. The lack of characters was very disappointing, It had less character than Tenkaichi 2. So if your a die hard DBZ fan you obviously already own this or if you dont then go out and get it because youll pretty much enjoy it, but if your just an average consumer then dont get this game your better off getting Raging Blast 2 it has more characters and better modes. This game is good but it was really disappointing, I expected more from it.
