This is the best Dragon Ball game so far!!
This game is the best in the series so far. It improved a lot from the previous two games. The story started from kid Goku until beating Sheron (the Dark Dragon). All the important characters (who can fight well) are included in this game. There are a lot of new characters since the storyline has extended from previous game. Some characters have more than one age form like kid Goku & adult Goku, kid Gohan & adult Gohan and so on. There are so many playable characters in this game and each with unique skill and special power. This game has many secret characters to unlock through beating the game by using different characters and fulfill some conditions.
The fighting style is exactly what it likes in the comic of Dragon Ball. Character can fly, fire super power beam, performing fast pace attack and their attack will have some impacts on the environment background as well. The fighting system has improved a lot from the previous two games and it is the best in the series and I really enjoyed it. The control is fairly easy and the music and sounds are also very attractive.
The graphic are in “cartoon style” and I have to say that it is great. It actually makes you feel like watching Dragon Ball Z movie when you play this game. There are many mode of play in this game such as story mode, duel mode and world tournament mode. In story mode, there is a world map that your character can fly around. In the world map you can discover items, meet with people, have events, and visit towns. Each character can equip out to 7-8 slots of item and skill. You need to equip skill in order to use them in battle, like you need to equip Super Saiyan in order to transform into Super Saiyan in battle. There are many items for you to use in battle as well, like armor to increase your defense and bowl of rice to recover your health. The game has a capsule shop where you can buy skills, armors and items by using the money that you acquired from the game. There are more skills and items available in this game compared to the previous two games.
As conclusion, “Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3” is an amazing fighting game and if you are fans of Dragon Ball, you must buy this game. If you like fighting game, you should try to at least play it once. This game is the best in the series and it is really fun to play.
